SVT Boneshakers and Jackhammers offer a Rich, Deep, Aggressive Sound to your Harley Davidson Touring Model. The most agressive mufflers on the Planet.
The Main Difference is the Baffle Design. The GEN 4 SVT Boneshakers have 150 louvers stamped in a spiral pattern, while the Jackhammers have 50 louvers stamped in a spiral pattern.
The GEN 4 Jackhammers were developed for the 2017 and up Harley Touring Models to be used behind the stock header. The new M8 Touring bikes are very quiet so we had to make the muffler even louder to compensate for the newer generation engine and exhaust.
The Gen 4 SVT Boneshakers were originally developed for the Twin Cam engines from 1999-2016.
Either of the 2 can be used for the Twin Cam or M8 Bikes, no problem there. The GEN 4 Jackhammers will be the louder of the two brands, but ...with a louder and more free flowing design...the power building properties will be less than the GEN 4 SVT Boneshakers offer. The GEN 4 SVT Boneshakers, while still very deep and aggressive sounding, do offer more power building properties than the
GEN 4 Jackhammers offer.
Now with all that said....on the street one will not feel the difference in the seat of the pants. For everyday riding either will be just fine. After all, not all of us need to be "Johnny Racetrack"! Most of us are looking for a really good "Harley" Sound along with a really good looking product.
Only on a Dyno will one see any differences between the two, and even then there will be only a digit or two difference, and that's simply not going to be felt on the street.
Of course if one is chasing Dyno Numbers, we will always steer you in the GEN 4 SVT Boneshakers direction for either the Twin Cam or M8 engines, and if the Loudest.... Meanest.... Deepest Sound you can get is what you are looking for and you are not a Dyno Numbers chaser.....GEN 4 Jackhammers is the Muffler for you.
